The name
Qualia is a philosophy term.
It means the felt quality of an experience — what something is actually like from the inside. The warmth of sunlight. The taste of coffee. The specific relief when something heavy is lifted off you.
Most operations firms sell outputs: hours saved, tickets closed, headcount added. We think the thing that actually matters is harder to measure and easier to recognise. Better operations shouldn't only improve what a business produces. They should change what it feels like to run it.
Two people
There are two people in this business.
Both are stuck for the same reason, and neither knows the other exists.
The first built something real. Forty people, eight good years, a name that means something locally. And she's become the bottleneck in her own company. Every decision routes back to her. She answers email at 11pm because it's the only quiet hour. Growth didn't relieve the pressure — it added to it.
The second is an accountant in Ethiopia. Careful, credentialed, fluent, better than most people doing the same job anywhere. His ceiling was set the day he was born, by a map. Not by what he can do — by where he was standing when he learned to do it.
Neither is short of ability. Both are short of a connection the market never made. Qualia is that connection, and we're on both sides of it. He's our employee. She's our client. Neither has to manage the other.

I founded Qualia on a simple belief: every serious business deserves a partner invested in its success from vision through execution. Growth holds when the right people, systems, technology, and strategy work together — that principle is the firm.
I lead our vision, partnerships, and approach to transformation: understanding where a business is, where it's going, and what stands between the two — then building the presence, the team, and the systems to close that distance.
The name is a philosophy term for how each person uniquely experiences the world. I chose it because every business has its own identity and purpose, and we build around the business rather than forcing it into a template.
What drives me is growth on both sides of every engagement. When clients succeed, our team grows. When talented people reach real opportunity, families and communities change.

My job is to make the vision financially sound: every opportunity we pursue backed by disciplined decision-making and an infrastructure built to last.
Before owning businesses I was a manager at Ernst & Young, advising on financial reporting, technical accounting, and complex business matters. Today I'm also Managing Partner of Hathorn Advisory Group and an adjunct professor at Harris-Stowe State University.
As the youngest president in the history of 100 Black Men of Metropolitan St. Louis, I've seen what becomes possible when people get access, mentorship, and a genuine chance to lead. Talent exists everywhere — even when opportunity does not.
I work alongside Regen to guide financial strategy, evaluate opportunities, and make sure the value we create is shared across our clients, our team, and the communities we serve.
