Sales Manager Job Description
Tasks:
- Drive growth and meet sales targets by effectively managing the sales team
- Develop and execute a strategic business plan to expand the company’s customer base and strengthen its market presence
- Oversee the recruitment, goal-setting, coaching, and performance monitoring of sales representatives
- Foster and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships
- Provide management with sales, revenue, expense reports, and accurate forecasts
- Stay informed about emerging markets, industry trends, new products, and competitor activities
Qualifications:
- Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
- Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars, and conferences
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence at all levels of the organization
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- Strong business sense and industry expertise
- Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills
- BS/MS degree in business administration or a related field
