Data Analyst Job Description

Tasks:

  • Collect, clean, and validate data from various sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to effectively communicate findings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Design and implement data models, predictive analyses, and forecasting techniques.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of business initiatives.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational and legal standards.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize data processes and methodologies for efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging data analysis tools, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, Excel, or SQL.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with large, complex datasets.
  • Familiarity with statistical methods, predictive modeling, and machine learning concepts.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Knowledge of database systems and query languages.
